PART-TIME HOME DELIVERY DRIVER 

Michael’s IGA South Gippsland is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Home Delivery Driver to join our team.

About the role:

📍 Location: Michael’s IGA South Gippsland

⏰ Part-time – approx. 32 hours per week

💰 Award wage (negotiable)

📅 Monday to Friday availability required

(Weekend work may be required at times)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Representing Michael’s IGA in a professional and friendly manner

  • Delivering groceries safely, on time and in excellent condition

  • Operating company vehicles responsibly and courteously

  • Completing routine vehicle checks

  • Following food safety (HACCP) procedures

  • Handling customer payments and balancing invoices

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a current Victorian Driver’s Licence

  • Has a clean VicRoads driving history

  • Has great attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude

  • Is comfortable being the public face of our business

  • Is willing to undergo a police check

FULL-TIME CAFÉ / SUSHI ASSISTANT

Michael’s IGA is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Full-Time Café / Sushi Assistant to join our team. If you’re passionate about food, customer service and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the role:

  • Trading hours between 6:00am – 10:00pm, Monday to Saturday

  • Café or sushi experience preferred, but not essential

SUPERMARKET RETAIL ASSISTANTS – SENIOR PART-TIME

Michaels IGA Leongatha is a market leading independent grocer. We have a strong focus on delivering an exceptional experience to our customers in range, quality, service, and competitive pricing.

Reporting to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager
Availability: Availability between 6am – 9pm Monday to Sunday
Weekday shifts are available; however, candidates with weekend availability and previous supermarket retail experience will be highly regarded. This role is primarily based across the Fresh Food departments of the store.

• Maintaining a work schedule and rostering that reflects the customers’ needs

MEAT MANAGER

We are looking for a meat manager to join our team!

  • Full time
  • $65,000 – $70,000 per year plus super

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of:

  • Delivering excellent quality and service standards throughout the department
  • Managing a meat department within a supermarket or shop
  • Experience in a high volume sales environment
  • Achieving sales budgets, gross profits and wage control targets.
  • Controlling shrinkage and completing monthly stocktakes
  • Rostering that reflects the customer’s needs and at the same time meeting department budgets.
  • Maintaining department invoicing and clerical procedures.
  • Ordering of stock is relevant to department sales.
  • Maintaining correct pricing and ticketing.
  • Working well in a fast paced team environment
  • Coaching and supporting the development of fellow team members
  • Portray a positive attitude and show initiative
  • Ensuring all cleaning schedules are maintained.
  • Maintain the department to HACCP standards
  • Abide by company policies and procedures at all times

QUALIFIED BUTCHER (APPRENTICES MAY APPLY)

Position: Qualified Butcher (Apprentices may apply)
Reporting to: Store, Assistant and Meat Manager
Salary: Award Wage (Negotiable based on previous experience)
Availability: Full-Time Position with possible alternating rosters (every 2nd Saturday and some public holidays) 

  • Successful applicant will have experience in working in a Supermarket Meat Department or in a Specialty Butcher shop environment with full trade qualifications.
  • Ability to be able to work across the 6 days of the week which may include some public holidays.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and staff.
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Portray a positive attitude and show initiative.
  • Be well groomed and well presented at all times.
  • Complete duties as directed by your manager/supervisor.
  • Abide by company policies and procedures at all times.
